Have you ever bought a book and never opened it? Or started reading one, only to get distracted a couple of days later by something that seemed more important at the time? You’re not the only one.

Reading a good book can change how you think, how you see the world, and how you live your life but only if you follow through. Most people stop halfway, don't even start or never take the time to reflect on what they’ve read. The book club is here to help you stay committed, keep momentum and turn what you read into a part of your everyday life.

We read together, reflect together, and share what we learn along the way. Every book we choose connects to some kind of growth or learning, it can be mindset, performance, or any kind of improvement but the focus is always on understanding, reflection, and implementation.

The Structure

The book club runs through a WhatsApp group where all communication happens. Every Sunday, the upcoming week’s chapters are posted (usually around 100–200 pages, depending on the book). Throughout the week everyone reads the same chapters, and every Sunday each member posts their reflections.

Your post doesn’t have to be long or perfect. It can be something you learned, something you didn’t quite understand and want to discuss, or how you’re planning to implement what you learned into your life that week. What matters is that you read, reflect, and post something.

This rhythm keeps everyone on track and creates a space where ideas can be shared, challenged, and expanded. The reading list is a mix of books across different areas of life. Usually, we follow the reading list found on The Bookshelf, though sometimes we vote or take suggestions from members when it’s time to pick the next read.

Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind
Yuval Noah Harari (2011)

Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind

Sapiens traces the incredible journey of humankind from primitive hunter-gatherers to the dominant species shaping the planet today. Yuval Noah Harari explores how key revolutions — cognitive, agricultural, and scientific — transformed human societies, beliefs, and power structures. He explains how shared myths, such as religion, money, and nations, allowed large groups to cooperate and build civilizations. Harari also examines the consequences of technological progress, capitalism, and human ambition on happiness and the environment. Blending history, anthropology, and philosophy, Sapiens challenges readers to rethink what it means to be human and how our species’ pursuit of growth and meaning has shaped — and endangered — the modern world. It’s a sweeping, thought-provoking look at where we came from and where we might be headed next.

The Creative Act: A Way of Being
Rick Rubin (2023)

The Creative Act: A Way of Being

The Creative Act is a reflective guide to creativity as a way of living rather than a skill reserved for artists. Rick Rubin reframes creativity as an inner state of openness, awareness, and presence that anyone can access. Instead of rigid systems or techniques, the book emphasizes intuition, listening, and removing internal noise so ideas can emerge naturally. Rubin explores themes like attention, patience, self trust, and detachment from outcome, arguing that the creator’s role is to notice what wants to be made rather than force results. Written in short, meditative passages, the book encourages simplicity and curiosity over pressure and perfection. The Creative Act is ultimately about creating from alignment and honesty, showing that the highest form of creativity comes from being deeply present and receptive to life itself.
